Writing
Ouellette distributed her first book in print when she was eighteen years old:
You Are A Hero, an activity book for pediatric cancer patients that teaches children to
embrace their inner superpowers.
After high school, she went on to study English Fantasists at Oxford University before eventually graduating with Honors in English (BA) from Wesleyan University and earning
the Samuel T. Camp Prize for excellence in English Literature.
Her work has now expanded to include critical academic essays, poetry and more.

Honors English Thesis
2022
Ouellette's thesis was awarded Honors by
the English Department at Wesleyan University.
It explores the concept of categorization by understanding the construction of personhood through narrative form, that is, how a story’s form and characterization can constitute a human being.
This thesis examines the functions of categories like human and non-human, questions their soundness,
and ultimately helps to elucidate narrative’s power to shape perception.
Bodies of the Beasts
2022
Bodies of the Beasts is an experimental poetry collection that focuses on advocating against animal exploitation. Ouellette submitted this collection as part of her Ecopoetics final at Wesleyan University.
All of the poetry and illustrations are her own, and she also designed/handmade the three Bodies of the Beasts booklets shown here.
